A Flying Visit?

While Arthur and Reuben were staying with us we took them to nearby Cosford Air Museum to see all the planes on show. Alongside the usual suspects at such museums Cosford Air Museum boasts a dedicated Cold War Museum. For those of us of a certain age it brings back many memories...

I took a few photos of the vehicles and aircraft on display which I thought I'd share here for anyone interested in Cold War gaming. On a practical note admission to the museum is free, parking is £5 pre-booked or £6.50 on the day. Families should know that some interactive 'rides' come with a charge! There is a decent on site café and shop, together with a children's play area outside.

Just a flavour of what's on offer, though the Stealth Bomber exhibit was unusual...

  4. Glad you all had such a great day Dave. A few hours well spent with something for everyone, but mostly, important family time. I've not been over myself since pre-plague, but thinking of popping over next week sometime. Your pictures have got me in the mood! Ought to get over there more often realy being as it's sitting on our doorstep!

    1. Perhaps wait until the children are back in school for an in-depth visit?

  8. I think you were actually in the modern camouflage hall. You have to walk past the stealth bomber to get there Mr.B.

  9. A lovely looking museum David…
    Thank you for showing it…
They should really put warning signs up around the stealth bomber… you could chafe yourself rather badly if you were to collide with it …
It’s good to know that the science works though…

    All the best. Aly
