1067, Year of Destiny?

A good while ago I mentioned that I had rebased my Wargames Foundry/Casting Room Miniatures Anglo Danish and that I intended to paint those bases and add static grass while Sue was visiting her sister. Well, I achieved all of that and more: the same firms' Normans, which Phil had painted for me, also had static grass added to their bases, so the whole are now table ready for some games of Lion Rampant set here in the Mercia of 1067. The main protagonists in these struggles are Philippe de Rawnsli, Lord of the Manor of Worsul and his implacable foe, the renegade Anglo Danish Lord, Bicca, who inadvertently missed the debacle at Hastings by taking a wrong turning off the old Roman Road...

The other pictures show the various groupings which we make up in games of Lion Rampant. We're not sticklers for rules as written and tend to play with what we have, so purists look away now...
