...for the new Early Saxons' warband has finally struggled out from under the Brush of Doom and mustered into GHQ. Again the figures are from 1st Corps, the shield transfers from LBMS, and the base from Warbases as ever ~
I have tried to organise the layout of figures on this base as far as possible to replicate the undisciplined charge look of the first base, but to me it seems I was less successful! You will of course be able to form your own opinion ~
Figures for the third base are underway, leaving just 6 Arthurian Heavy Cavalry in the Lead Pimple, though more Early Saxons are on the way from 1st Corps, subject of course to the vagaries of Royal Mail...

Looking good Mr. B, perhaps this flank is a tad more hesitant to engage?
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil! With my dice that's quite possible!
DeleteVery nice David a nice looking unit 👍
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt, much appreciated.
DeleteNice work sir, taking shape, looking forward to seeing the reinforcements when they arrive.
ReplyDeleteThey were delivered yesterday and are scheduled for preparation in the next day or so.
DeleteAnd very nice they look too, David!
ReplyDeleteI'm appreciative of your encouragement Ray, thanks.
DeleteWell they look fine to me:)! You can always use the centre one as the chaps rushing to the fore in the pigs snout (?) formation they used to break a shield wall.
ReplyDeleteA good idea SteveJ!
DeleteGreat work David and they look pretty eager to me!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are right Christopher!
DeleteA formidable looking lot to behold! They certainly look like they intend getting the job done... I wouldn't fancy standing in the way! Fine work once again, the shields look great!
ReplyDeleteVery kind of you to encourage my modest efforts. The LBMS shield transfers are nothing short of a godsend!
