Well, the season's festivities are behind us and we can look forward to our Hobby Time once more. Just one last nod to Christmas, in that I got three hobby related gifts ~
From Aly, for use with the Saga of Bicca Biccasson games with my grandchildren hopefully. From long time chum John Aston; on theme as always John! And From Sue, the latest Old School Wargamers' Annual! I also got a Book Token from Ruth which I shall hopefully exchange for the latest Warlord Games Black Powder supplement, Into The Valley of Death, for the Crimean War.
So a Hobby Christmas was had! Here's to a Hobby New Year too!

Well those are certainly better than socks. I got a chess set which I suppose is wargames related?
ReplyDeleteWell, anything trumps socks really!
DeleteA nice mix of stuff there David and a book token is always a welcome gift as far as I'm concerned:).
ReplyDeleteYes, a Book Token always welcome!.
DeleteA hobby Christmas is always good!
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteNice haul David. Paston letters are so enthralling.
ReplyDeleteStarted on them last night, not disappointed so far.
DeleteNice books David here’s to a productive new year
ReplyDeleteWe have our 🤞Matt!
DeleteNice books and all very handy too, can't ask for more than that!
ReplyDeleteTrue!
DeleteAn interesting mix. I've never read any of the Paston letters etc. despite attending the Paston School. There the emphasis was on the link to the naval heroes Nelson and Hoste. The school tie was plain black marking our loss at Trafalgar and the room used for music lessons was like a ship's cabin including the calking of the timbers of the floor.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for 2026
Stephen
Started on the Letters last night. I hope 2026 will bring us all much hobby joy! Baring Phil's dice of course!😉
ReplyDeleteGreat gifts. Dragon Rampant is a fun game and has featured on my blog a couple of times. The Paston letters are also fascinating, it seems that we've always lived in litigious times. But I've never even seen any of the Annuals.
ReplyDeleteThe Wargamers' Annuals are from Caliver Books/Partizan Press Rob.
