Pointless Additions...

...but I liked them. Some late C18th road labourers from Wargames Foundry. I bought them on a whim on my last visit to their factory shop. They serve no useful purpose but are characterful and decorative, so I bought them. The 'rocks' were added from my terrain bits box. I think I enjoy painting this sort of thing more than fighting chaps of late ~

Nothing else to say about them but look out for them hiding away somewhere on the next C18th game here in GHQ.

  1. Nice and characterful, I'm drawn to waggons and carts, when really I should be finishing gendarmes and landsknechts, so I know what you mean.

    1. Wagons and carts would be useful as baggage markers or obstacles/objectives though, but they have horses which puts me right off!

  2. Pointless? Essential for the look of thing I say, someone has to bear witness to our great victories or not so great defeats after all.

    1. Yes, the look of the thing is why we buy them isn't it?

  3. First, nice job painting this lot. They can be used to be the laborers building things like bridges, unloading wagons, or helping to erect a camp.
They can have a battlefield function, too - if driven off one's build is incomplete and there is a failure to garner victory points.
But the main thing is that ou enjoyed painting and collecting them. Good on you!
